Who left an impression on you?

Every so often there's a song or an album that comes along and leaves a lasting mark on you. Sometimes the reasons are obvious... the songs feel like they're written about you, or just for you. Other times the music can speak to you in ways a conversation can't.

We all have at least one album that carries with us wherever we go, for the rest of our lives.

In June I wrote a piece for my "Impressions..." article on afterhoursradio.org about John Velghe & The Prodigal Sons album "Don't Let Me Stay" in which I compared it to Pete Yorn's "Musicforthemorningafter". Both of those albums gave me a feeling of longing to be else where, to live life as an adventure. Albums like that, the kind that inspire me to do things, or to see things or learn things will always hold a special spot with me.

But! I'm curious... What albums have left an Impression on you? What are the albums that no matter how scratched the CD gets, or how warped the vinyl is... or how many times you've had to re-download it, it will always stick with you?

Feel free to tweet me your favorite albums, Pictures of the physical copies would be cool too!!!
